Sensoring objects for digital twins is not always easy especially when we talk about tiny objects. That was the motivation for me to design the first ever 17mmx13mm 9DOF IMU board with Wifi and Flash storage onboard. It can transmitt date in real-time up to 100Hz. With an industrial grade firmware that i have developed based on Espressif RTOS IDF SDK, its highly power efficient with peak power of 50mA while sending data over Wifi at peak speed. Currently we in TheEngineRoom, we are using it for multiple projects. Also its currently used by multiple people outside our lab. A newer version has been developed with the same aspect ration, providing improvement on power consumption, 10DOF instead of 9 DOF and with a stackable design where you can shield it with your own hardware such as biomedical sensors or fuel gauges. Soon we will be opensourcing the hardware and firmware.
